It is now accepted by the medical community, that nature can be a catalyst for healing. The connection between stress reduction and the recovery process is well documented, and thus the landscape is seen as a key element in therapeutic care on healthcare sites. By providing appropriate settings for buildings and enhancing the indoor / outdoor relationship we can increase the benefits of the link between an attractive environment and its value for both patients and visitors alike.
Our experience includes a range of healthcare projects nationally including new hospitals, hospital refurbishment and extension, mental health and the provision of landscape design services in relation to all associated site services and infrastructure.
The nuts and bolts of the access and parking arrangements must be simple, user-friendly and clear, whilst the smaller scale provides greater interest; from internal courtyards and therapy gardens, to the creation of wildlife habitats and structure tree planting; our designs create a variety of spaces meeting the technical requirements of the site, and also meet the therapeutic needs of the users.
